Norbert Rollinger remains GDV President
The CEO of R+V Versicherung AG, Norbert Rollinger (60), remains President of the German Insurance Association (GDV). Two years after taking office, the Presidium unanimously re-elected him as head of the Association.
In his new term of office, he will continue to focus on reducing bureaucracy. "The complexity of European and national legislation is almost impossible for all companies to understand. There are numerous examples of over-regulation or double regulation - for example when the same regulatory content is governed by different provisions at the European and national levels. The numerous reporting requirements in particular are consuming more and more resources. For small and medium-sized companies, this is no longer manageable", Rollinger said.
Other important topics include the planned reform of private pension provision, the insurability of extreme weather events and dealing with cyber risks. At the European level, the GDV President emphasised the importance of further developing the Capital Markets Union.
